Panama Canal's Proposed Land Bridge Would Move 5 Million More Containers by 2045

The over-the-road network would be designed for containers carried on vessels that are too large to transit the Panama Canal, and would help mitigate the effects of climate conditions that slowed traffic through the waterway throughout 2023. Additionally, the project seeks to bring back customers that are now being transshipped via Colombia's Port of Cartagena. Read more here.
