USDA and FDA Release Official Policy on Joint Regulation of Cell Cultured Meat

A new class of product resembling both pharmaceuticals and meat will be regulated by both agencies.  USDA approval will preempt states that have passed laws prohibiting such products to be labeled "meat".   Read more about it here.
