Mississippi River Barge Traffic Backed Up After Bridge Closure

The U.S. Coast Guard reopened the Mississippi River Friday, following a 3-day closure of a cracked bridge on the Tennessee-Arkansas state line.  The closure sent grain markets nosediving, “It is important to regard this bridge closure and the resulting suspension of traffic in the broader context of a national and global supply chain that is currently under tremendous stress.” Read more about it here.
