U.S. Bans Imports of Canadian Dairy Products

The expanded scope of Section 338 tariffs will apply to all covered products, even if they originate under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, and apply in addition to tariffs imposed under Section 232 of the Trade Act, according to the White House fact sheet. The import bans will take effect on Sept. 29, 2026, and the product additions and removals go into effect on Sept. 15, 2026. Read more here.
